There was an english show where a tall guy would walk into an electrical/ radio or antique shop and go back into the alleyway and go back to world war 2, does anyone know the name.

No problem. Haven't watched it myself since the 90's, I was very young at the time.

Yeah they showed it intermittently and late and i missed alot of episodes and only caught bits of seasons, not an unusual thing here.
