Crazy Cell Height Glitch

Post » Sun Aug 31, 2014 4:50 am

Hi all,
I've been playing around with creating a custom worldspace in the creation kit for the last 5 or 6 days, and I've run into a pretty serious issue. I was starting to add static objects to my worldspace when I noticed that certain parts of cells were horribly glitched, with the heights either massively lower or higher than they should be.
You can see this here: (apparently I can't post links so I've had to break it, drop the spaces from the address) http: //i.im gur.co m/oqQ qkt5. png .I've tried renaming the cells to see if there was some sort of issue there, but no luck. Repainting the affected areas in the heightmap editor fixes the issue for that instance of the creation kit, but on restarting the kit and reloading the data, or heading to the area in game, the areas are back to how they were.
So I really don't know where to go from here. There doesn't seem to be anything similar here or on the internet (or I have no idea what keywords to use), and I can't really continue with this. If worst comes to worst I have a 2 day old backup, but I'd rather not lose a Saturday's worth of work
Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

I haven't been playing with CK much, so I might be wrong if they patched it in the meantime, but I don't think that happened, and as far as I know heightmap editor is completely broken and useless in CK. You'll have to find another way to import a pre-made heightmap into the plugin, or you'll have to sculpt the landscape by hand.
