- In the 3DS main menu tap the orange smiley face at the top.
- Select your player card to view your friend code.
- You can also register friends here. If your friend is within the range of your console's signal, you can choose local registration, scan the area and exchange information automatically. Otherwise you need to select Internet registration and enter their friend code.
- Press "x" to access the menu.
- Select "Bag"
- Select "Key Items" in the Bag menu
- Select "Pal Pad" under Key Items, and select "Use"
- From here you can add friends (register friend code), check your friends and update any information (check friend roster), and view your own friend code (PLAYER's friend code)
