Is Canis Root tea possible?

Post » Mon Sep 01, 2014 9:11 am

In Dragonborn/Morrowind (not sure which one) there is a Dunmer wizard called http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Neloth_(Dragonborn) who has a liking for Canis Root tea, but since tea is made from leaves would this be possible (btw i'm not a tea expert so forgive me if I have made a mistake)?

I may be taking this too seriously as some people say it's just a reference to something non TES related but I was just wondering as I want to mention it in my fan fiction story.

Thanks guys

It's possible to make tea using roots. Sassafras tea is one such tea that uses roots instead of leaves to brew tea. I'd imagine the process is similar, in that you're extracting the tea-ness from the root, as opposed to leaves.

Many teas can be made from roots. Licorice for example.
The process is exactly the same... Steep in hot water.
