Might be the last person playing this ---would appreciate everyone's favorite memories. Only 3 hours into the game but REALLY enjoy it.

Loved the bit where you get in the guy's boat after the tutorial and he sails you over the lake to the abbey. In fact, exploring the woods, hills and rivers in that area of the world was probably my favourite part of the game - later areas are a bit too outlandish for me, though I've yet to completed it fully. Some of the random dungeons around there are well worth exploring. IMO some of them anticipate Skyrim's more interesting dungeons, where each one has a story and something unique to its design. The bounty missions were good fun too. All in all it's a great piece of work I think, and I often pick it up again, just to wander around in that starting area...

My own attempt was a failure. Finally asked at a local computer shop, "Anyone install mods?" "Yes," I gave them 3 web sites (and yes, there are YouTubes about it. The shop did it with ease and the charge was far less than a new game. Keep trying...the experience, especially for Oblivion/Skyrim fans, should not be missed.

Oh yes....made up for the black-screen boat and carriage rides ...and the ride comes when you are SO glad to be free from cave/mine part of the tutorial!
