Yes, and what's the problem with that. SP and MP have the same storyline, the only difference is that you play against bots is SP. Another thing someone else said a while ago: If you try to raise your level by playing against easy bots, and then jump in online at level 20, you probably get slaughtered.

You level and progress the same chosen character no matter what you do, however, they have said this:

If you play offline singleplayer, let's say you'd get 50 EXP for healing that guy (AI / CPU)
If you play online multiplayer, then you'd get 100 EXP for healing that guy (Real Human)

They are bribing you with EXP to play Online with the rest of the world.

Eh, it was an example :P For they have said that they will give you alot more EXP if you do things to help people online, than helping CPUs offline, so I took some numbers out of my ass, and whoopa-doop, 50-100.

Although i have heard them talk about "bribing" player to play online, I have not heard any confirmation as to what extent. From what I heard, the game will evaluate your progress as you play through single player, and at some point will suggest that you try playing online, and as a bonus, will give you double xp for doing so. I have not heard anything about players ALWAYS getting double xp for playing online.

I don't think it is double XP but a bonus for playing a real-time game. Real-time game is even harder than easy AI / CPU. Sure thing you can play versus people who is less skill.
