Crash to desktop at stratup

Hey all.

I installed skyrim and some mods, and now when I start up the game it crashes just after showing the Bethesda logo.

I'm using the SKSE launcher, but it does not work with the normal launcher either.

I checked the load order for the mods with TES5EDIT and it works fine, no load order problems.

The papyrus error log shows the following:

I started disabling my mods 1 by 1 from the nexus mod manager, and only when I deactivated all the mods but "SKSE" and the "Unofficial skyrim patch" did it not crash anymore

EDIT: I found a similar topic on another forum: http://forum.step-project.com/topic/3899-ctd-on-launch-solved/ (not 100% same error), but I have know idea what he is talking about nor how he manage to fix it...

Crashing at logo is most likely missing master file. Can you post your mod load order, ie from LOOT. Thanks

Sorted your load order with BOSS or LOOT ???

Download Tes5Edit from the Nexus, install it, open it, click OK (it should have all your currently installed mods selected). Let it run.
If it says 'finished' then you aren't missing a master.. if it fails, it'll tell you which master is missing.

Also, if you have the required master out of order with the mod that depends on it, Tes5Edit will tell you which master the game cannot find.
All you have to do it move it to the right spot in your load order.

You could always look through the .esp load order in NMM and click on each mod, and look at the list of masters for each mod (more time consuming),
and see if you see any that look out of place/haven't seen before.

Found it, Thx Mark.

For some reason, the official Dawnguard, Hearthfires and Dragonborn .esm's were not activated it Nexus ( ? why, no idea)

It is confusing because they did show up on the Loot and Tes5Edit mod list....

Thx for pointing out you could rearrange them in Nexus too!
