Dark Messiah combat system a great starting point ?

No offense, but is that a joke? I mean, honestly, Oblivion's combat has so much room for improvement, a person could go on forever... From the lack of location-based damage to the absurd amounts of health at higher levels that cause fights to be dragged out forever, the over-simplified representation of the improvement of one's abilities (just more health and higher damage, rather than a change to the gameplay mechanics), weak archery, etc., there's no end to how Oblivion's combat could be improved upon.

Again, are you serious? Every time someone's attack is parried in Oblivion, they're temporarily stunned in a completely unrealistic way, which makes fast paced sword fights practically impossible. That's one of the biggest problems with Oblivion's combat system, not something they "nailed".

I wanted to make my own. I did not like the other ones.

Unfortunately we can't have every member taking that same attitude, or with 700-odd people on this board like we had earlier, we'd have 700-odd threads and nobody reading them.

Since the only real discussion here seems to be people complaining about the duplication of threads, I'm going to lock this. In future, please join a current discussion rather than starting a new topic, unless there isn't an open topic discussing your subject.
