Custom smithingenchanting menus

There are a few different things I would like to do involving menus, that I cannot find any hint of how to accomplish. Any help, or pointers to good tutorials, would be much appreciated.

I do not like the implementation of scroll and staff enchanting added by one of the mods I use, and would like to move those options into their own base categories in the enchanting menu, and I would like to add basically a locked down enchantment system for each of the special forges that confers a special effect but makes the item unenchantable. Good for pure smithing characters. Not sure about how feasible these are, they may need to evolve. I just want to know how to add [censored] to menus.

It's not really possible to add any new categories with special functionality to the crafting menus, unless you are going to rebuild those menus entirely in the same way that SkyUI rebuilds the inventory menu. And that would be a very large and complex project.

I had limited success trying a simpler method, when I attempted to add a new category to the enchanting menu by swf injection, but this turned out to be very fragile and easily crashed the game, so I discarded the idea. The vanilla menus don't like to be messed with unless you're going to rebuild them entirely.

Thank you. I was planning on making some skyui companions at some point, but it looks like I have a lot of work to do. Time to learn Flash.
