Which Races Go Best With Which Classes Lorewise?

Post » Fri Sep 19, 2014 4:57 pm

Using Morrowind and Oblivion's 21 classes, I would like to know which classes go best with particular races and why. I know this is a subjective question, but I want to know what you think. Which race makes the best Scouts, or Pilgrims, or Acrobats and so on.

Also, how do the races align with Stealth, Combat, and Magic?

Which Race is best for :

1. Pure Combat

2. Pure Stealth

3. Pure Magic

4. Combat Primary/Stealth Secondary

5. Combat Primary/Magic Secondary

6. Stealth Primary/Combat Secondary

7. Stealth Primary/Magic Secondary

8. Magic Primary/Combat Secondary

9. Magic Primary/Stealth Secondary

10. Jack-of-all-trades

Looking forward to your thoughts and the reasonings behind them.

Note: I'm more interested in Lore than gameplay mechanics. A High Elf Warrior might be an effective playstyle, for example, but little lends itself to that pairing outside of that.

Lore-wise? " it should be noted here that it is always foolish to think of whole races sharing like minds."

Tell this to First Auridon Marines or Legate Fasendil. Heck, tell this to the last Heartland High Elf king.

When talking about "Lore-Wise" it depends on the certain individual instead of the race as a whole, different ways of being raised, mentalities, personal opinions, stop the races from just being one bland boring group, each individual can do what ever they want, regardless of race.

I actually dislike those words. "Lore-Wise"

Also tell that to Queen Ayrenn, a strong warrior if I ever saw one.

I wasn't sure exactly how magicky she is. She's a wild one, for all I know she could have defeated some Telvanni master in a magic duel and ridden off into the sunset on a netch.

And to turn it around: Shalidor and Ahzidal.

Good point, in the quest I have been with her as a companion she uses a one handed sword, and at least for me, has yet to use magic. :)

Ah, riding off on a netch, now that is very romantic.
