Hi everyone... I've searched this forum and plenty of other places for help on this to no avail, yet. It is really starting to drive me crazy!

I've got F3 GOTY on Steam, running on Win 8.1 - I've followed the steps to get it running, and it runs great! Until I get to the part where I have to pick up the "YOU'RE SPECIAL" book. As soon as I grab it, the book pops up, but the sound starts stuttering, and the mouse cursor freezes in it's place, stopping the game. I have a touch screen, so I've tried touching the little arrow to change pages, but it does nothing. I end up needing to alt + tab out of the game to close it.

GeForce GTX 860M

8.0 GB RAM

Steam Fallout 3 GOTY

Windows 8.1 x64
