lol.
Yeah, the whole phrase is just a misinterpretation of "I couldn't care less."

means same thing. "couldn't care less" / "could care less"
i wouldn't be "that guy" and get hung up on semantics.
I could/couldn't care less is a grammatical mistake. A similar mistake is the use of "could of, should of, would of". Those result from mishearing the contractions could've, should've, would've. They hear ?k?d·?v as could of and don't recognize it as the contraction of could have.
Most of the others posted here are aphorisms- a pithy observation that contains a general truth, such as, “if it ain't broke, don't fix it.” They are not meant to be taken literally.
Half a cake is no longer a cake. It is a part of a cake. Another example: You can have a bank account with a balance of $150,00 or you can buy a nice Maserati. You have to choose one or the other. You can't have everything you want, you need to make choices as to what is most important to you.
Don't procrastinate. The quicker you are to take action, the better your chance of success. A business has one position- for which you are qualified- open. The earlier you apply, the better your chances of getting the job.
Another in the don't procrastinate family is "A stitch in time saves nine". A seam is starting to fail. If you put in one stitch to repair it the problem is averted. If you don't, the seam will fail, your ass will hang out the seat of your pants, and it will now take many more stitches to correct the problem.
On the grammatical side, I learned "different than" and only lately heard "different from". How about "a while" and "awhile"?
I could care less about if saying this is correct grammar or not.
I find this phrase, "Put your big girl panties on." extremely weird. Yes, this is a real saying. I know it means to grow up, but what do panties have to do with this?
I saw "could care less" in Skyrim a few days ago. Now I don't mind when random people on the internet say it wrong, but when the mistake is made by supposedly professional writers it annoys me.
Maybe it means put your fat girl panties on.....nvm, I got nothing. I've always heard it as 'big boy pants' or more commonly 'grow some balls'.
Yep...kinda like "for all intensive purposes." *shudder*
I thought it was "for all in-tents purposes"... you know, camping and stuff.
I iz mistake?
well, isn't this embarrassing

Is that like "take your little girl panties off," because I'm pretty sure you can get arrested for saying that.
