I have some ideas rolling around in my head for character builds that I haven't quite decided on yet. Maybe you guys can help.
One of them is an enchanter. I want this character to have to rely on enchanting and not focus too much on the power of weapon skills or heavily armored defense. I want to use every aspect of enchanting including some of the little used enchantments like turn undead, banish and fear. One thing I want is the character to carry a lot of different daggers and either have no or light armor. This character could also use magic, a bow, or a shield because all of those can take advantage of unique enchantments.
I was thinking of what secondary skills to used based on how useful enchanting was at enhancing those skills. If that doesn't make sense here are examples:
Enchanting not too useful: Conjuration, Illusion, heavy armor, light armor. Conjuration and illusion are not spells that usually have to be cast over and over, so spell cost tends to not be a big deal and enchantments that fortify armor skills are almost worthless.
Enchanting very useful: Destruction, Restoration, Alteration, Block, Sneak. Enchanting for cost reduction can really help destruction and certain spells like wards and paralyze. Enchanting can greatly increase your sneaking and blocking effectiveness (even more than taking perks for those skills). Of course you can increase weapon power too, but I'm not interested in that.
So based on that I might make an enchanter who uses daggers, sneaks also uses destruction, restoration, and alteration but I'm not exactly sure how those skills fit together or how this guy would go into combat. Of course staves are great too. What do you guys think? Are their any master enchanters out there? I'm not looking to be super powerful, just want an interesting playthrough.
