I'm getting disappointing FPS (around 20-30) on my new laptop running on Ultra settings, 1920x1080 res. Benchmark sites like NotebookCheck reckon I should be getting around 50fps with ultra settings. I'm wondering if there's certain display settings I could lower/switch off which would have the best impact on my FPS? I want to have 60+ fps most of the time really, obviously I could set all lowest settings but I feel like I can get more with my specs.

This is my current specs:

i7-4700MQ processor

GTX 860m 2gb DDR5 graphics card

8gb RAM

My driver is up to date, nVidia settings are all set to highest performance (vSync turned off etc) and the 860m is always used instead of integrated.

Any suggestions? Which display settings have the biggest impact on FPS?

using any mods? I would try lowering shadows and AA + AS a bit and see what happens.
