This is kind of depressing but I am still having fun despite the lack of a coherent story. The game would probably have been phenomenal if Bungie had kept to their original vision.

On another note, I snagged http://destiny.wikia.com/wiki/Red_Death from a Legendary engram last week. I love it.

I'm addicted to Strikes lol. Getting 5 Vanguard tokens a pop is nice, but the Vanguard points are pitiful. 14 points lol for level 22 strike? What's that? I'm level 22 and still haven't reached Vanguard rank 1 or found a legendary engram.

You'll get there. I was in the exact same boat at level 22 but once I moved up to the level 24 Strikes the loot has been dropping better. The engram that had Red Death dropped in a strike.

Also, I really hope the original story has just been stretched out to cover many years instead of abandoned altogether. That would be a travesty.

I tried to use The Devil You Know in PvP, horrible mistake. I'm sticking with my Shingen-E, at least until the patch comes out that buffs Scout Rifles.

As for the story, yeah it's pretty obvious a lot was cut out. There was no exposition of the plot. We were introduced with the rudimentary backdrop of the story and were given no other information. All the lore is in the grimoire cards which are interesting.. and not part of the damn game. I hope the expansions are great and there is more story content coming.. but there is no other word for the story besides disappointing. Game is still super fun to play but.. yeah, definitely not all it could be.

I am level 24. i got so far, after dozen hours of gameplay only 4 legendary items. And all of them are weapons.

The good thing is, i have unlocked Vanguard tier 2, so i bought today a legendary armor. !!!

I have 32 vanguard points left, so eventually afer a while i buy my secondary legendary item, for sure. Hopefully i get it then to level 25.

I even got today a golden bounty. I should make 4 strikes without dying. Huh...

I hope they patch in the ability to preview shaders.
