Recording Console Gameplay?

Post » Thu Oct 02, 2014 6:41 am

I'm kinda curious. Is it possible to record console gameplay and such? Specifically an Xbox 360? Does it require the console to be connected to the PC or does it require the PC to be using the same monitor as the console? Or is it done via flash drive?

I'm kinda curious and wanna try something...

You'd need capture hardware to create a digital video stream from the anolog output on the 360. If your computer doesn't have video capture hardware already you'd have to acquire it somehow...otherwise it's a no-go.

Wait. So it is a thing that I might already have? My current PC is a new one that I just got together and such...

It's possible, but unlikely. Do you know specifically what hardware your PC has in it?
