Forgot to add the FWE Companion Module. Two Questions.

Post » Tue Oct 07, 2014 4:09 pm

Hey guys I have two questions about the companion Module that comes with FWE and adding it in the middle of a play through:

1. Is the companion module stand alone and part of FWE or do I need some other companion mod to use it ( I didn't add it because for some reason gopher in his video says you need some companion mod to go along with FWE's companion module. Or maybe I miss understood him).

2. If I do not need an additional mod to go along with the FWE companion module can I add it in the middle of a game or do I have to start a new playthrough? If so what is the best way to do it?

PS,

I have some experience at mod using. Currently using Nexus mod manager, FO3edit, and LOOT. The mod order was checked with LOOT (I know LOOT isnt perfect) and the mods are cleaned of ITMs and UDRs,

Fallout 3 has companions available in the base game, but it limits you do Dogmeat and one other. With the FWE-Followers Enhanced, you can configure up to an unlimited number. You do not need an additional companion mod for this to work.

Yes, you can add it in the middle of a game.

I would first dismiss any companion including Dogmeat before activating it.

Great. How would I add the module by itself? Do I just completely reinstall the mod?

It might be best to reinstall the mod.

You could try using the (6.03 hot fix) companions esp plugin but I do not know if there are any loose files so it might be best to just reinstall FWE. and reinstall any of the compatibility patches for FWE and other mods.
