Hello all.
I am trying to figure out a good profile setting to use for the NVIDIA Tools Normal Map Filter in Photoshop with my particular preferences. The question I have is: Is there any way to look in the vanilla Skyrim texture normal map properties window (?) to see what Bethesda used as their settings when they saved the normal map? Also, are there existing profiles presets available somewhere? I have tried tweaking the settings little by little to see what changes happen but that is very time consuming.
I have followed many tutorials on the net but most are different due to individual preferences. I have a particular normal map (riftencanolplanks01_n.dds) that I want to mimic but I am having a hard time adjusting my settings to match the existing look. My custom meshes and textures do not look like vanilla ones in game (shine and rough look are the main problems). I really want a unique look and feel to my world space that is different but still very lore friendly so I do not want to use the existing meshes and textures that are vanilla.
I have Photoshop at my disposal so I would prefer to use it to create the normal maps.
Many thanks in advance for any advice.
