Problems with YouTube

Post » Fri Oct 10, 2014 5:40 am

And major ones at that. It all started with the "Load more" not working. I would scroll down in the Videos section of a channel click the button, it would say Loading but nothing happened beyond that. Now, even the Language changer is like this and now I also can't change the quality of a video. Every time I click the settings button the settings show up for a fraction of a second and that's it. So yeah I can watch videos on YouTube and read comments but that's about it. I have installed a newer version of the flash player but it had no effect.

I'm using Firefox. The newest version, I guess, it automatically updates.

That is what i am using, do you have any plugins installed? I would recommend trying to reset firefox but that would mean re-installing your plugins.

Yeah, I don't know about that, it took me a long while to be at a state where AdBlock Plus blocks most ads.

yeah, but it doesn't block [censored] automatically, I hate that. Not saying I can't live with having to reset, but it's an annoyance that's for sure. Especially since I'm certain resetting probably isn't going to do jack [censored].

Left click on the little symbol in the upper right of your menu bar and choose to disable it on youtube.

Resetted it. It seems to be working fine now.

Wait a minute. So is AdBlock Plus causing problems with YouTube?

No, it shouldn't do, if resetting worked then great.

It's software. It could have been, but there's no way of knowing unless the problem comes back and you try disabling it.
