Something you might need to know... This mod of mine revolves almost ENTIRELY around potions that add spells, add perks, and do other scripted events, these blood potions are the key to making it compatible with just about every vampirism mod out there. So all the vampiric mechanics must revolve around those potions. So anyways, I experimented with adding a fire damage to self effect, that has the conditions to only be active when outside, during day time, which does 35 fire damage per second.

It worked PERFECTLY, and helped make the Vvardenfell/Morrowind vampires even more different than the Volkihar clan than they already are... And made it feel even more like Morrowind. (Keep in mind none of these features are there yet on the current version I have on the Nexus, as I'm working on a huge update, including rebalancing npcs, adding sewers, and altering the abilities to be more like Morrowind, with normal weapon resist and a bunch of other things).

Anyways... Well it ALMOST worked perfectly- it EVEN worked on NPC vampires, there was only one problem "You can't sleep while taking health damage". Even though the damage, and fire itself isn't visibly active at night, or indoors, it always makes the PC unable to sleep.

So... I'm curious, what should I do about this? Can I somehow alter it to still allow the player to sleep somehow? And if that doesn't work... What do you recommend I do instead? Is it even possible to pull this off, without making new scripts? I also did a bunch of searches on this subject, and was never able to find the information I needed.

Can someone please give me some advice as to how to solve this dilemma? I even tried using the vanilla sun damage thing, but that didn't work either.

Can this EVEN be DONE without using anything from Dawnguard, or without adding new scripts?... And if it can't... As... A last resort- What type of Script do I need to make for this?

If someone has any advice for this dilemma, I'd really appreciate it.
