Really bad sound lag from things like horses and combat

Post » Tue Oct 14, 2014 2:08 pm

I've been getting some bad sound lag in Skyrim from things like my horse running which stops making any sound usually if I start sprinting and then comes back after some time, making a loud huge cluster of horse footsteps that plays all at once.

I've also had problems with Whirlwind Sprint before where it would say 'Wuld' then after the shout taking effect, walking around for a bit I would then hear 'Nah' after a long delay.

Now I'm seeing some lag in combat, arrows and sword slices being delayed and all played at once. Other than that my performance is fine even though I have a 15.2GB texture folder.

I don't use any mods that alter sound other than maybe climates of tamriel.

I've seen some threads in some far away forums which have complained but none have a helpful fix.

I'm using a heavily customized ENB, SKSE, ENBoost and mod organizer for organizing mods.

Ty for any help

What are your computer specs?

Do you have http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37xAMUQc1oY enabled in SKSE?

As for horse sounds, http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31039/? there are some posts there as well that talk about the delay and how to fix it by changing the sound priority in the Creation Kit.

I've tried the memory fix before and it did nothing but crash on start-up. As of getting ENBoost I have not had a single CTD from memory usage.

I gave the horse footstep mod a try and it works great. I did a minute run about and had no sound lag and the sounds are much better too. Thanks.
