I figured I'd start a new thread for the billion questions I have about using command line functions, and figured it would be helpful to others to have a place to ask this stuff too.

First question: How do I rename records in an esp?

I tried using: tes3cmd rename -e container.name 'old_container_ID' 'new_container_ID' modname.esp

And all it does is give me the command list, which means I'm doing something wrong.

tes3cmd modify --replace  "/old ID/new ID/" plugin.esp
