How can I calm a violent NPC using the console?

Have You tried to click on the NPC in console mode and use the commands:

stopcombat player
setfight 10

Open console and click on the offending NPC and enter the following commands

Stopcombat playerSetfight 30

First command stops the combat and the second sets the 'inclination' to fight lower.
