How many characters do you play as?

Just wanted to get the general stats  How many characters do you typically create and play in total in a ES game?

Do you stick with only one character or do you constantly create and play new ones?

Are you asking how many characters we play at one time? Or are you asking how many characters we have played in total?

If you're asking how many at one time, I typically play one character at a time. I can just about manage to play two at once. But that's stretching it. I get confused easily. I lose track of what each character is doing. It's like putting down a book for too long without reading it. I lose some of my emotional connection to the story after awhile.

If you're asking how many characters in total, I honestly have no idea. I make a lot of characters. I mean a lot. I love to make characters. Some of them I don't even play - I make them and then they sit forlorn, abandoned, at the chargen screen, waiting for me to come back. Some characters I play for an hour before they suddenly "go dead" in my imagination. I don't know why. Some characters I play for 10 hours, some for 300, or more. They add up after awhile. ;)

If I had to guess I'd say I've made over 500 characters in Morrowind, 300 in Oblivion, and about150 in Skyrim.

I mean total characters.

500 characters..? :S How do you even get into the game if you recreate the character so many times? :o
