Can I rename the 7z archive before adding it to NMM so I know what it is I'm installing? I have about 200 mods installed and most of them I know what they do but some are just abrivations like AGADBAH4263574 and to be honest I can't remember what they are. Or will renaming them mess things up?

When you download the mod with NMM it should name the mod for if it does not you can rename especially if the mod comes in more than 1 part or options. Just click on the mod you downloaded and then click again at that point you should be able to rename it. I rename mods a lot.
