Why are people rushing & complaining about this game?

Hi everyone,

Although I've posted here few times, I'm not new to the Bethesda line of games.

I really do not understand why people are rushing through this game and complaining on top of it. This is not a 60 hour game like Darksouls I or II.

I also don't understand why people are thinking or have thought in the past that this game would be a smaller scale version of Skyrim with undead???

If you played Resident Evil 1,2,3,4 and you've seen all the trailers and in-game videos for TEW, then you should have known what to expect to a certain degree.

So, Please, for newcomers to Shinji Mikami, like myself, allow us to make our conclusions.

Thanks,

stefos

P.S. I don't really understand what the DLC will contain but I hope it is not going to be cut material......we'll see.

The DLC will allow you to play as the KEEPER (1st dlc) and the other 2 dlcs will let you play a Kidman, so hoping we'll have a few more pieces of story to fit together lol.

I am on NIGHTMARE atm and you can't affort to rush it lol I think it took me nearly three hours just to get past chapter 3. I don't think people these days are used to slow paced games, and hard ones at that. I love it, the harder the scarier. spent a good 20mins hiding under a bed lol

I don't mind hard games that require me to take my time, that is my normal game play style for a lot of games. My kids often watch me play and they are like "MUM! Just go around the corner already, there's probably nothing there" lol. What annoys me in TEW is that I take my time, am cautious, observe the enemies, map out my route, think about my game plan, only to play for half an hour or more, die, then have to do that half hour or more gameplay all over again because of the save system. I'm only on chapter 3, as I don't get a lot of time to play. Because of this, I will play for half an hour, end up dead, get put back to the last save or last checkpoint, which usually means I have to basically replay everything I've just done, so I end up turning off the game in frustration. I guess I'm used to games where I can save at any point, or at least more frequent save points.
I agree that watching trailers etc should give you an idea of the game TO A DEGREE. I try not to watch gameplay videos too much, because that tends to spoil the game for me, I don't like knowing what is going to happen in the game, or what to expect, so I limit myself to gameplay videos that show the beginning of the game only. I did this with TEW, so I expected the game to be similar to TLOU, with crafting of items, minimal supplies, enemies that you could fight or sneak past. TLOU is one of my favourite games, so I was sure I would love TEW. I am liking it, but I know that as I get further, it will just end up frustrating me rather than being fun, because already chapter 3 is frustrating me.

Some people expected to have a game made in a certain way, when it wasn't some didn't like it. I say you want a perfect game the way you want it....make it yourself.
