Console Patch

Post » Thu Oct 30, 2014 11:02 pm

Well, Bethesda has confirmed that the released pc patch that removes the black bars that no one wants won't becoming to console as we have to play the game as intended by the deluded dev's. We're basicly being told what we should like, rather than giving us an option, like pc owners have been given. I'm glad I returned the game for a refund, and I would advice other people as pissed of as me to do the same. Just quote the sale of goods act if they give you any snash, as without the patch the game isn't finished, even with it it's a fine line. If they wonder who it took so long, just say you just opened it. You can but try. DON'T BUY THEIR DLC, like a dog you've got to bring to heel, it's the only way they'll learn.
They didn't have the decency, or respect to come into this forum to tell us, screw them.

Youre crazy.... This game is awesome and is supposed to be viewed like a movie even has the grit added to it. I t has its flaws but is still hands down the greatest console horror game in the last ten years.

It's maybe a very good game but I just can't play it with this jerky animation on XB1. I mean this is so present on screen that I am too distracted to appreciate the game properly. Compared to this issue I see the black bars as a minor one.

As I have not really started the game, waiting for a possible patch, I won't purchase any DLC for sure if it's not corrected.

Compared to Alien Isolation, and for technical reasons, this game is trash. All things being equal, it would be a pretty close fight.

You still don't get it....patch on pc only removes black bars but it doesn't solve fov. Wich means that nothing actually fixed....so what's the point of adding that option on consoles if there will not be any fov adjustment available for pretty obvious reasons.

Well at least pc owners have the option of using widescreenfixer, which fixes fov and black bar removal as well as other fixes.I personally dont care for consoles(i own a 360&ps3)and own a modest gaming rig i7-950@3.8ghz-2x580gtx.But this game is an absolute blast to play with ammo hack and hardest skill level.

Are you talking about console commands or the 1.5gb patch they released today? I was under the impression the patch gave pc owners the option of removing the borders and increasing the real estate so it displayed at a proper full screen ratio. If it just zooms it in like the console commands, the you're right, it is pointless, and crap. Either way, bugger the game.

Pretty much it. Maybe just a little bit wider....really few. Still very narrow.

The view is not zoomed in when you disable the black bars with the update. So that is a lot more you get to see now.

If you're seeing a zoom-in then you changed the aspect ratio via the console before and you must go back to default.
