'Safe' Non-Respawning Dungeons

Post » Sat Nov 01, 2014 12:30 am

Dungeons which are shown on UESP that do NOT respawn such as Labyrinthian and Ironbind dungeons and storage are safe, does that mean that dead enemies killed in there do not despawn as well?

I'm hoping this is the case so I can use Labyrinthian (which never respawns according to UESP) as a huge corpse museum but need some one to confirm this

Thanks

"Never respawns" I presume indicates that the enemies indeed don't respawn, but that's saying nothing about despawning. Not trying to be a doomsayer, but it's very well possible that whoever you kill in there will despawn after a while just like everyone else in the game world. This does make me wonder, the heck are you role playing when you want a corpse museum?

I have created several Necromancer characters. I too, at one time or another, collected various corpses and found that general NPCs like Bandits and Guards would vanish on occasion. While I ended up focusing on named NPCs, I found that even they were not 100% reliable should I stay away for extended periods of time.

My thoughts are that killed enemies indigenous to NON-respawning dungeons do despawn eventually, but bodies already found as corpses remain

cant be sure tho.

Off the top of my head:

Labyrinthian does not respawn.

Southfringe(all areas) does not respawn.

Mistwatch does not respawn(requires you to finish the quest of the same name.)

My info not based on USEP but in-game experience.

Furthermore Skyrim's worldspace will reset NPCs, containers, etc, but wont remove anything that the player dropped on the ground. Just in case you need to stash something and encumbered and no where near a safe container, or house, etc.
