Making the most out of Skyrim

Greeting all,

It's been over a year since I've played this game, and I think it's time for me to relive Skyrim but in a new way. I've played this game 3 or 4 times since its 2011 release, and have had a great experience every time. However, even though I want to play again, I want a different experience. I'm not looking forward to exploring the fields of Whiterun (as I've done many times before) or slaying dragons or making potions by the traditional formula. This time I'm looking for some mods that REALLY change the way the game is played, or maybe just the way it feels (does that make sense?).

So, with that being said, what kind of mods can I download that will improve any/every aspect of the game?

I would prefer 'objective' improvements such as better textures, smoother combat, innovative professions/specializations, et cetera.

Thanks in advance!

If you enjoy Bards, I always recommend the Being A Bard mod on Steam (used to be on Nexus). With it, you can play instruments and also has a Bard Skill that improves as you play in the Inns and Taverns around Skyrim. You can also play for the Jarls. For me, this mod made the game a brand new experience.

There are lots of weapon and armor mods, but they really do not change the game much. I have not tried any mods that "add content" (such as places or quests), as I am not a fan of them.
