Game DesignComputer Programming QUESTION

Hi All,

I've always thought of what a "Perfect Skyrim" would be like: realistic movement, combat, NPC 'lifecycle', interactions, etc..

I know that coding video-games is hard (especially if it's a TES game), but I was wondering, how difficult would it be to code a "Perfect Skyrim"?

To go into detail, how hard would it be to code lifelike combat, movement, NPC interaction, actual politics/wars (skirmishes, siege of cities, constructing camps/forts or invading thereof, meaningful and cinematic leaders/villains (like Mass Effect?) et cetera), massive army battles (this one's naive so I've been told), larger cities, larger world, extremely detailed (again with the "realistic" notion) environments, character detail (face, expressions, gestures), different dungeons (besides crypts and caves with the same themes), dynamic weather, dynamic (REALISTIC) events, and everything that I mentioned in my first line.

Would it be possible? Would it take a very long time? What if I had 1000 professional game designers/coders/whatever?

Sorry if this is confusing, if you need clarification, I'll try to clear it up.

I'm no expert, plus I don't think it's possible, but if it was...

I think it would probably take a few decades and enough money to run a small country. :)
