Hey all!

Story:

The Point:

I have 3 headsets, a:

Logitech G360 (Light-weight, mediocre quality. Most comfortable)

Razer Tiamat (Extremely comfortable without glasses >_> )

Rocketfish Gaming Headset (mediocre across the board)

The biggest problem is that my new glasses make the Tiamat and Rocketfish completely useless, as they put too much pressure. My old glasses didn't really have a problem with that. They were just kind of uncomfortable.

So I have two questions:

What would be the most comfortable headset (with or without mic), for somebody with glasses? (Especially garbage glasses >_> )

Or, are there any prescription eyeglasses that either have no arms, or are somehow super comfortable, even with a headset?

My prescription is pretty strong, and I have an astigmatism (mispell?). If it'd help I could post it here I would imagine.

Make one giant lens to fit on your computer monitor so you don't have to wear glasses while gaming.

hah, if only I could! Prescription monitors would probably sell for a fortune!

I have the same problem. Not that I use them often, but we have this crummy headphone that just hooks around your ears. Other headphones that I use, I just try to ignore it. Doesn't really solve the problem either tho.

I wear glasses and use a Razer Tiamat set, and I can't honestly say I've ever had a comfort issue with them.

You could try in-ear monitors and an external mic. Problem is in-ears tend to lack soundstage, or the sense of space and distance from sounds, because of how close the little drivers are to the ear. It might not be very immersive for gaming, but they do vastly improve isolation so you won't hear any distractions.

You could also try tilting your glasses up so they're on top of the pads, which is what I do when they occasionally get uncomfortable, but this'll warp your view if you have to tilt them too much.

First things first.
Go back to your optometrist, and get glasses that fit PROPERLY.
This means lens width and bridge width are wide enough to properly fit the width of your face. That the ends of the arms are long enough to not drag forward on your ears.
I've had to wear glasses since about age 3, so like you, I KNOW this stuff.

Mistake number 1
You wear glasses, you HAVE to wear glasses for gaming, and you bought 3 pair of circumaural (fully surrounding the ears) headsets.
Glasses and circumaural headsets/headphones are very rarely comfortable.
For gaming, you need to look at headsets/headphones where the earpads rest on your ears.

Too much pressure where and how?
Pressing in against the sides of your head?
Having the ends of the arms dragged down against your ears by the earpads?

You can still get separate mics for gaming and online chat use in desktop and tie-clip styles.
Just need to look online.

Oakley designs usually fit certain head types, at least with sun glasses. It might be the same with the normal glasses. Either way you should pick out a pair at your eye doctor cause they will shape them to your face.
