I've stalked the forums for years and learned the basics of the CK, I want to know what you guys think before I create this mod.
The mod will add NPC's to existing locations that give a series of simple quests in a way that feels like you have a job. There will be a blacksmith in Solitude who gives you smithing quests. EXAMPLE: "I got a request from an Imperial Soldier, he wants a new steel blade, his old one has broken. It needs to be quality work so be sure to temper it at the Grindstone." You then create and upgrade the sword before returning it fo the pay. It seems like a simple idea and will add those tedious quests that we all just do at the start of the game when we need 100 more gold. It will help in roleplaying however, you can be a proper blacksmith and actually earn a profit from it.
JOB LIST:
Blacksmith: Solitude
Alchemist: Morthal
Hunter: Whiterun
Mill Worker (or whatever I should call it): Riverwood
Chef: Rorikstead (at the inn)
Miner: Dawnstar
[Will make more jobs, just too lazy to list them now]
In the above example, notice how it does not name a specific NPC, this will allow me to add dozens of these sort of qusts for each job that cycle randomly ensuring that it does not seem too repetitive. There will be two seperate modes that I release, the second one simply making there be a required timeframe before taking another job to assist in immersion.
So, do you think I should make this mod?
