Always work on a copy of the mod, that way if you do something like this and save, you can revert back.

Load a YourModName.bak file in your Skyrim\Backup directory that was before the deletion.

Change the file extension to .esp and overwrite your current mod with it.

Edit: This is basically a rollback.

- Open the CK

- Select your mod and choose 'Details' instead of 'Set as Active File'

- In the Details screen press 'Deleted' at the top between 'Type' and 'Ignored'

- Your deleted NPC will show up at the top of the list, as well as it's deleted REF, showing with a 'D' in that column.

- Select each line with 'D' and press 'Delete' on your keyboard.

- A box will pop up asking if you want to 'Ignore', you do. An 'I' will appear in the 'Ignore' column.

- Close out of that screen.

- Load the mod as normal and then save it.

- Close down and then reopen CK and reload the mod, your deleted NPC will no longer be deleted. If you check the 'Details' again the deleted NPC will not appear.

You will not loose any work this way.

Alternatively you can remove anything your mod has touched in TES5Edit, if you know how.

I have one more question. Let's say i modify a vanilla actor and save. Are the changes on the vanilla actor restored then if i toggle ignore on ?

Good to know, Thank you! :)

Yes, anything you toggle as 'ignore' will have any changes that your mod makes, removed from it.

But I find it very difficult to find specific items I modified in the CK File Details, unless it is an item that has been deleted. Then it is super easy to find as it appears at the top when 'Deleted' is selected.

So for changes to vanilla items that I want reverted, but the items are not deleted, I use TES5Edit. It is super easy to find exactly what is modified in your mod using TES5Edit.

For removing changes to any NPC, it is simply a case of loading up the mod in TES5Edit, scrolling down the menu to Non-Player Character and every NPC your mod touches is listed. Then right click and 'remove' the one you want the changes unmade on, and that is it.
