I don't know. VR seems to be perfect for flying or driving games, but I'm dubious how well it will work for other sorts of games like shooters. It seems like a VR game would have to be extremely simple if players are to be expected to play it without being able to see their keyboards and stuff.
I can't bring myself to get excited by Oculus Rift at this point. Considering how many prototypes they've produced with no fully-functional, production-ready consumer model to show for it, I can only assume that this is yet another one of their experiments that will be discarded in favor of another new and awesome thing in 12 months.
Sure, what they are doing is still very impressive, but if they're going to continue down a never-ending road of prototypes with me unable to get my hands on a production model, why should I care?
Such a wonderful age we live in. A must-buy for everyone! (almost)
Ahem. Now back to TES/Fo... If the resolution and framerate is high enough, then I suppose yes, they would benefit from it. But I'm personally not very interested in such a view. I prefer they way we're gaming now.
I'm not into it. I'm not into gimmicks. The Wii was pushing it; I just like a controller and a nice HD screen to play on.
