Hello people!

I have a question about Stray Dogs.

I saw a dog while travelling, it was just waiting. then I told it to follow me and it did. After a few adventures, it just disappeared and I thought it just left me because it was a stray dog. But it seems I was wrong. I joined Dawnguard and tried to get one of those huskies but I couldn't. It says that I already have an animal follower but the stray dog isn't with me for ages :/

Is there any fix for this?

Have you modded your game at all recently to touch up followers?

Have you tried fast-travelling in a spot then waiting for twenty for hours - wash rinse repeat?
