I just want to share my new character's background and what he is about to become:

"Warulf, a young nord mage scholar, (lvl 25 atm), with a passion for magic and magical artifacts. He now has to venture into Labyrinthian to retrieve the Staff of Magnus, but he feels he is not powerful enough to face whatever rests inside. Time is against him, for he is also the Dragonborn, a great burden sits on his shoulders, he must defeat the dragons and their leader Alduin, but first he must save the College of Winterhold from whatever madness has befell upon Ancano.

He uses destruction magic to incinerate his foes, and alteration to defend himself. Recently he has taken an interest into Necromancy, it must be the Necromancer's amulet fault, messing with his mind and sanity, corrupting him. It will not be long until he will crave more and more magic power. His confrontation with Morokei in Labyrinthian will be the turning point of his life. After witnessing the powers the dragon priests wield, he will want those powers for himself.

A dark ambition drives him to become the most powerful necromage in Skyrim and perhaps beyond. His mission is set, and it is clear, he will not share power with anyone nor allow anyone else to be as powerful as he will be, therefore the rest of the dragon priests must be destroyed, Alduin slain and even the Volkihar vampires be purged.

For him, there is only one mad thought : to become the last dragon priest, raise an undead army, and rule Skyrim ... "

Sounds like someone my character would love to go head to head with.

Perhaps Walruf's mission after defeating Morokei could be unlocking the secrets of the Atronach Forge.

Maybe visit the Companions too, to unlock the ancient secrets of the Northern Steel, as a gift to the people who will follow him in his adventures?
