Looks nice, thanks for the link. Hopefully it's much better that ME3 though and I'm hoping this is going to be next generation only built from the ground up, so last generation can't hold it back.

"Much better than ME3" would be awesome, since ME3 was damn good. (except for the last 5 minutes. a lot of which was due to the fact you've been hanging out with these characters & situations for three games, which would be less of an issue in a new stand-alone game)

edit: of course, the fact that we'd been hanging out with these characters for so long was also part of what made it good.... if we hadn't been dealing with Tali & the Geth since ME1, would the resolution in ME3 have been as meaningful? Ditto with Mordin & the situation on Tuchanka. Hmm. /ponder

I played the trilogy and really enjoyed all of them, especially the 2nd one which was my favourite of the 3. I really wasn't too bothered by the ending of ME3, I did have the extended cut version so maybe that's why. This next instalment looks quite promising and the artwork looks exellent, lets hope it lives up to expectations.

The multiplayer was much better than the SP. That's a huge problem.

I tried the multiplayer a few times, just couldn't get into it myself.

I really liked Mass Effect 3, personally. I never did quite get a chance to play through with the extended cut and all of the DLC (my 360 died not too long ago and I'm debating whether it's worth the money to replace it at this point.) But the ending didn't bug me the way it some other people - I saw the whole game as a prologue, really, and there were some really nice storytelling bits in there.

Mass Effect was one of those games that my wife and I would trade off on, ever since it came out. We were actually still just dating when the first one came out - she bought us a 360 specifically so we could play this game. Mass Effect 3 came out right after my son was born - we had to schedule specific times where one of us would get him out of the house for a few hours so the other could play.

I'm sort of hoping now that they know their limitations and some of the intricacies involved in spreading the consequences of a game across 3 installments over the space of close to a decade, that we'll see something pretty cool this time out (even if I'm a little doubtful about Bioware as a company after all the changes it's been through.)

I wouldn't say that was the only issue with ME3, and the series in general after ME2.

Regardless, I was okay with the ending after the extended cut and I am passionate about the series, its universe, and most of all its character, so I am always looking forward to anything Mass Effect.
