Greetings.

Which one to purchase? The legendary edition or the anthology edition.

Cornfuzed I am!

I know, a little late to play, but here I am non the less.

While your answering me do you mind giving me a quick start? You

know, the handful of prerequisite mods to get the game up to speed

for me. Here's a list of my equipment so you know how much I can

handle. Thanks. -oldplayer

Anthology has Skyrim, all the DLC, and the rest of the Elder Scrolls games(+DLC where applicable).

Legendary is just Skyrim+DLC. Soooo...I guess it depends on whether you want to get all the rest of the ES games at once or just Skyrim by itself. (You don't get all of Oblivion's DLC from Anthology though, just the expansions)

Personally, I feel like SkyUI and the Unofficial Skyrim Patches are essential.

Enchanced Follower Framework for multiple followers and other overhauls (like spell, armor/clothing, and fighting style management).

Familiar Faces to have characters from other saves as followers.

Race Menu for enchanced character customization.

Frostfall for survival gameplay.

You mean MW and Oblivion? The ones older than MW too?

Yeah, all of them. Well, all of the main games at least. (Arena and Daggerfall)

But those two are freeware now, if you weren't aware, so it'd be a waste if you already own MW and OB.

You get all of the DLCs (even the small ones) for Oblivion with the TES Anthology. They're not included on the DVD that comes with the package, but you get redemption codes for them so you can download them through Steam. Previously, the only way to get all of the Oblivion DLC was to purchase the GOTY Deluxe version from Steam.

Another reason to consider the Anthology, if you're interested in playing Daggerfall, is that with the Anthology it comes as a one-step installation package similar to Ancestral Ghost's DaggerfallSetup.exe package. If you get the free version from Bethesda, you'll also have to install and configure DOSBox to play the game, which can be a real hassle. The Anthology version of the game automatically installs and configures DOSBox for you along with Daggerfall, and is much, much easier to deal with (Note; Ancestral Ghost's DaggerfallSetup.exe package is also a free download - you can get it http://wiwiki.wiwiland.net/index.php/Daggerfall_:_DaggerfallSetup_EN.)

Absolutely brilliant!

I have used the CK in the past to recreate characters that lived, so they could be used as followers. This is a must have edition to any LO.

TYVM!

Wouldn't call it a waste. I got it just to have a cool box with everything in it. Its a "complete" set, so it gives out warm fuzzies of completeness. Also acts as backup discs.
