I hate Windows 8!

i had a nice laptop but it came with windows 8. i just don't want to relearn a a new OS. so by end of the year, i will be swirching over to apple.

windows is one of the reasons why i prefer consoles. windows stinks as a gaming OS. the xbox 360 and Xbox One don't have a full OS like PCs and apple does. so i don't have to prone the start up thingy or mess around with the registry.

Concerning Windows 8: its certainly not as good as Windows 7, but for gaming its perfectly fine. You can also largely ignore the "metro" screen for 95% of the time you spend on your laptop, I only really use it as a glorified search page and only see it when I restart my laptop(which is rare).

What games are you playing that you have to go into the registry to play?

Also I am confused by the statement:

If you don't want to relearn a new OS, then why switch over to Apple?

It took me little to no time to adapt to Windows 8, I do admit it looks unfamiliar when compared to windows 7 or windows XP, It's not my favourite windows, but it works perfectly fine for gaming etc.

If I may steal from an image on the internet, that's like having one bad date and saying "I may as well become gay".

Don't suppose you've heard of Windows 7? Fairly popular OS? Was around before Windows 8? No?

i went from windows ME to vista with slight adjustment. vista was 64 bit. some games wouldn't play. and some utilities didn't like 64 bit. civilization was kinda screwy on the older laptop with vista 64 bit. though the desk top worked for civ. i had some problems with civ. so i tried to uninstall it. appartently some files didn't get delited so civ. thouht it was still instaled. had to reformate the hard drive to reinstall civ. not much on the hard drive. sometimes it takes less time to just reformat and reinstall everything then to debug.

i have a simple game that crashes my current desk top. most games are for the two xbox consoles. got some simple games on the desk top. i was thinking of reformating the hard drive again before i got windows 8. i took one look at it and yikesvile. no way do i want to mess with the run command and msconfig. i can't even find such with win 8.
