Hello TES community,
I would like to add spell creation to skyrim. Before I jump ahead and try to do the impossible I would like to ask the more experianced modders among us what I can achieve and I how/where I can learn the skills required to implement spell creation the most efficiently.
The levels of implementation I would like to achieve, and I want to know if there are any limitations that will prevent this:
1) Single Destruction spell creation: single spell damage slider + increasing cost appropriately, add spell to player
2) ability to choose 'projectile', Sliders for both duration & magnitude, cast time
3) Add multiple spell effects
3.1) Spells available on level in specific ability.
4) 'minor effects' ideally choose-able from an additional menu (aoe, spell effect split over multiple projectiles, spell follows target, slows/knok down/... on target, secondary spell activate on ending etc.)
4.1) Custom icons for the spells & spell effects
5) Scripted spell effects (effect such as, if hp 5.1) Add custom spells/ spell effects (in spell creation) 6) change the way how spells such as summoning work (i.e. slider for minion hp, attack, (custom) spells cast by summon and let these affect the cost & 'Command Power' it requires) Idea is that Command power is determined by conjuration level and each minion requires a given amount of it. Your new summons wont override the old if the conjuration skill> sum of required command power. 6.1) Also add in stuff like the ability to set the on strike/constant effects of your conjuration weapons under spell creation 7) Fully custom interface for spell creation. I know that this is quite ambitious especially given my current skills set (or the lack thereof). As of this moment my knowledge of the creation kit is very basic, I have run through the Bethesda creation kit tutorial and modified some stuff in skyrim (change stats/ add items, i.e. simple stuff). Any advise on approaching this project is also much appreciated, I currently plan to take it slowely and see how far I can get, I think the advanced mod menu is the way to go, I however have no knowledge of it (yet).
