Flame trower set to on by default

Post » Sat Nov 22, 2014 2:05 am

Hi.
I'm new to modding and I am trying to set some traps in a dungeon.
I'd like to have some flamethrowers set to ON by default and to then have them set to off by activating a secret chain.
I am not able to set the traps to on by default. I managed to have them work by pulling the chain but I need them to work the other way around.
Can someone help me, please?
Thank you in advance!

A thought. Most, if not all, of the ones already in the game get turned on by a trigger zone that the player walks through, so that they don't appear to have an inexhaustible supply of whatever they burn. This is probably why they're configured the way they are, and you might find it easier to go with the flow. There's a test cell called something like WarehouseTraps that has ready-made setups to copy and paste to your mod.

Yes. I know, I took the ones I prepared from Warehousetraps... but still I'd like to have some flame throwers work by disactivating them through the pullchain like they were a sort of fire door.

Is there any script, any possibility to have them work like I wish?

Thanks

Check out Raldbthar cell, iirc there's a set of flame throwers there, right in front of the entrance, that are constantly on and block the hallway.

I found them but the system they use to work it's not what I need... is there any other place in skyrim where I can find flame throwers set to on by default?

Any example of possible script to add to the flame throwers?
