Hi folks,

I started playing JA2 last week and am working my way along its learning curve with many startovers. Unfortunately, it's an older game, so finding online help is a bit difficult. With that, I have a couple general questions:

1) Is this game on a timeline? As in game events (counter attack) will occur at predetermined times?

2) Building from the above, do I need to start teaching malitia right away? The farthest I got was clearing the 3 Dressan (?) sectors before thinking of logistics fouled my wiring.

3) I'm used to holding a party together forever in most of the other games I've played. However, the whole hiring for a period of time is a bit confusing, and I'm looking for suggestions about how to use it. Hire a teacher to train the malitia, for how long? Hire a Doc for a day or two to heal the squad?

I've found a few online guides, but haven't found enough info in them to help.
