How do I fix the Tenderizer?

Post » Sun May 16, 2010 3:25 pm

I want to add the DR +5 back to the Tenderizer. I know little of modding. (did some very basic item modding w/ NWN way back then)

I downloaded the GECK, (and patched it) found the 'WeapUniqueTenderizer' under weapons, open it's properties window, use the pull-down menu for "Object Effect" and choose "EnchWeapUniqueTenderizer," but when I close the properties window...then open it up again, the Object Effect change doesn't 'stick.' It returns back to 'NONE.'

I obviously don't know what I'm doing, but if it's only a few simple steps, can someone tell me how to add the effects back to the Tenderizer?

My character is currently equipped with it.

thanks!

Did you close the screen by clicking on the Red X? If so, don't. Use the OK button in the lower right to save the changes. The tederizer in my game does not have that enchantment either, so I think that is normal for the game. Strange though, that there would be an unused enchantment for the weapon. Perhaps you can shed some light on this. Anyway, when I clicked ok, the effect "stuck" for me.

Apparently I need to re-size the window, cause I don't see an "OK" button. (actually, I think I know what happened; I maxed the entire program, which probably made the properties window too big).

I found out about this through the http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Tenderizer. That's also why I wanted to fix it; otherwise, I feel like I'm being "cheated."

:brokencomputer:

EDIT: Okay, that was it -- the properties window was merely resized so big, I couldn't even see the bottom LOL!

THANKS!

And thank you. Having that effect makes more sense than not. Without it, its only a 20% improvement over the super sledge. With it, the Tenderizer becomes a true unique weapon.
