I must have done something wrong sometime back. Guards in Markarth all want to kill me. (sniff). Will this happen forever, so I can't complete the Dark Brotherhood or Markarth quests? Or, after a period of time, will "all be forgotten?"

I would have to go back to a save of weeks ago and lose a lot of time/data/experiences if it is "forever." Suggestions?

If you have a bounty you should pay it off, try surrendering (sheathing your weapon) when they attack you and see what happens.

Alternativly, go with it and murder some people in every other hold until you are kill on sight all over Skyrim.

As I recal, there is an achievement for that.
