ENB formula please

Post » Mon Dec 01, 2014 11:19 pm

Greetings. Obviously my algebra svcks so please fill in my enblocal.ini blanks.

[MEMORY]
ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true
ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true
DisableDriverMemoryManager=false
DisablePreloadToVRAM=false
ReservedMemorySizeMb=768 <-----this I changed from 512. Could go as high as 1024 I'm told.
EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=false
VideoMemorySizeMb= _____ // VRAM + RAM - _____ <-----I need these two calculation according to my specs below.

I have a 4gig video card with 32 gigs of system ram.

Should I use the Boris max of 10240 for VMSMB???

Not sure if I should change the 2048 value after VRAM+RAM -

Thanks so much! -oldplayer

When you say keep at 512 you do mean the reserve memo correct?

What about after VRAM + RAM - ?

Thanks for reply! -oldplayer

ReservedMemorySizeMb=512

VideoMemorySizeMb=10240

No Problem!

Because you have 32 GB of RAM it doesn't really matter about the formula.

Thanks so much for your reply. Grateful I am. But I am still missing the calculation after VRAM + RAM -

How do I solve this formula? -oldplayer

Don't worry about the formula, because you have 32 GB of RAM.

ReservedMemorySizeMb= // 256 or 128 if you have less than 3GB VRAM or 512mb if you have 4Gb VRAM
VideoMemorySizeMb= // max value: 10240

In case anyone's curious here's a more detailed explanation.

Formula Breakdown:

1. (VRAM + RAM) = the total

2. take the total number and subtract 2048 = new total

3. divide new total by 2

4. profit you're done!
