The Elder Scrolls and an unlimited supply of money

Post » Fri Dec 05, 2014 9:19 pm

Ok so me and my friend always bring up a conversation on what we would do if we had an unlimited supply of money. Then the other day i was watching the Hobbit 2 and when the scene where they escape in the barrels came on when the elves where running and sliding around going after them i started thinking with an unlimited supply of money i would make an TES show.

So basically it wouldn't be a normal show cause since i would have unlimited supply of money the TV show would have the budget and level of production of a big movie like Avatar or the hobbit movies. So when you watched it if you didn't know it was a TV show you'd think you were watching a big budget movie.

First thing i would do is make sure Bethesda was on board with it and get MK to join in to for all lore related things so i wouldn't mess any thing up. and then with them i would work on the setting of the show. now i would want to avoid making the show after any game but if i had to Arena would be my first choice since it takes place over 10 years each season ending with the main character finding a peace of the staff of chaos.

But i would rather it be set during the Oblivion crisis not about the coc and marten but another person in the same setting traveling around Tamriel.

ok i have to get off here right now so i'll be back with more latter let me know what you would do with the elder scrolls if you had an unlimited supply of money

If I had an *unlimited* amount of money, I would buy Bethesda (and Zenimax) and hire Pseron Wyrd to replace Todd Howard to produce Elder SCrolls games, with a goal of releasing a game every three to four years.

I also would start a new company devoted to Fallout and let Todd Howard run that, giving him the budget he needed to built the company up and hire who he wanted to hire, as he saw fit.

Then I would turn my attention to world peace while waiting for my games to be built.

You've got my vote! If I had any money, I'd give you that, too. ;)

cool Story

if I had unlimited cash I would end World Hunger by Funneling the Abundance of extra Food we have in our spoiled First world countries to nations that need it, and then create a real world equivalent to Gundam 00's Celestial Being to enforce World Peace through Armed Interventions...

gotta admit, if I had that much $$$, a game series would likely be the last thing on my to-do list..

This is going to get off-topic fast. I think making "what would you do with infinite money" a thread in CD would be interesting.

my response:

Solve world hunger and fund vital research.

Alternatively, ruin a few economies.

If I had unlimited money.... I would ruin world economy so badly it would led to a world war.

The reason it is going off topic is because the topic is not "what would you do with infinite money."

The topic is "what you would do with the elder scrolls if you had an unlimited supply of money." Big difference there.

People are taking this way too seriously saying things like they would solve world hunger before worrying about a video game. Well obviously world hunger/peace are more important than a game (hence my tongue in cheek reference to solving world peace while waiting for my games), but this is supposed to be a light hearted discussion of what you would do with the Elder Scrolls if you had absolute control over it. Glargg made the last on-topic comment at post 4 and every post after that has been off topic.
