Skyrim corruption? (Don't just look, I need HELP)

Post » Fri Dec 05, 2014 1:29 pm

Ok so after a couple days I've finally figured out what was wrong with my Skyrim, it was just a couple of mods that I didn't want anymore conflicting with eachother, I deleted them went back into my game and in the top left it said something like "bfloatpointrendertarget=0, please switch to 1" (It was for my ENB and is essential for mods) I switched it to 1, went back into my game and everything was basically corupt... Idk if it has anything to do with my Mod Load Order, but just ask if you need it...

rule number one: never remove mods, especially if you already started a game.

Your save is *insert one of those adjectives*:

Kaput

DEAD

mort

muerto

mrtav

死んだ

So you nuked your Skyrim folder and re-installed vanilla, deleted the ini's and allowed them to regenerate new, deleted all saves, started Skyrim without any mods, ENB's and what not and it still does not work?

There are two Skyrimprefs.ini files !!!

....:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Skyrim<<<<

.....:\Users\"your user name"\Documents\My Games\Skyrim <<<<<<<<

For MO users, the SkyrimPrefs.ini file is in the ModOrganizer\profiles\profilename folder

-----------

Try to uninstall Skyrim that way:

First do a standard uninstall. (Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features-> Uninstall The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim)

Next, delete your skyrim folder under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\

Then delete your Skyrim directory under Documents/ My Games after backing up your save files if you wish.

Then under C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Local\ - Delete the Skyrim folder that is in it.
(You should enable to see the hidden files under windows to delete that folder.) HOW: (View - Options - Folder Options - View - Advanced Settings: Show hidden files, folders and drives)

Use Ccleaner after all this (http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner), and install your game again, from scratch. !!!!

You don't need to uninstall Steam.
