What is "load order?"

Post » Sat Dec 06, 2014 2:15 am

Sorry. Probably you are laughing at me for not knowing this. In an item code, such as xx016e2d, I have been told in another post that the xx is for the load order. Stupid me, I don't know

what load order is. Any help appreciated.

Load order is the order in which the DLC is loaded in the Launcher. Find this in the Data Files section of the Launcher. So, if it is the third DLC, then the code you would add at the beginning would be 03

The leading 0 should not be needed.

Thanks. That helps. Will give that a try. I have Dawnguard and then Dragonborn, so I guess Dawnguard would be 01 and Dragonborn 02?

Try putting a couple lines in the console:

help zephyr

The first two numbers are your Dawnguard load code.

help ballista

The first two numbers are your Dragonborn load code.

I must be stupid . . . I can't figure out what "help zephyr" and "help ballista" have to do with "the first two numbers . . .etc."

I think they mean that if you open the console, and enter "help zephyr," it will give you your Dawnguard load code. Typing "help ballista" into the console will give you your Dragonborn load code.

Considering the OP seemed confused by the explanation, as you can see by looking at the post I responded to, I'd say they didn't quite get what Sandslice was saying. So I reworded it hoping it would become clearer to the OP. Judging by the differences in their last two posts, my explanation helped.

Admittedly, I could have said it a touch more clearly. :)
