I'm trying to apply an emittance effect to the Dalek lights so that they light up when they talk, the difficulty is that I know next to nothing when it comes to switching / controlling textures so I need someone who has had some experience with this.
I can make up my own attachment mesh which I want to have emittance associated with the material properties and have it attached to the appropriate head bone of the Dalek. My problem is that this mesh is always visible when assigned to it and I can't seem to get it to switch on and off when they talk.
I notice on the Protectron the mesh is just attached and has a material controller in the kf talk file which I have tried my own version of with no luck. I have noticed that the robot brain has an emittance when it talks and I will try to chase that up tomorrow.
If someone has had success with animation control of either switching visibility or emittance via animation kf files please let me know, info is hard to come by.
