Your opinion about indie games.

They're like all the PSx shovelware. Since there's so much of it we get a few gems that makes it worth it. The downside is that finding gems is getting harder by the day due to over saturation.

Good for the industry. Good for the consumer. They are cheap, hit-or-miss games. Even if you buy it and don't like it, you are not biting a big bullet financially. Some are comparable or even superior to non indie games. A lot svck, but the same is true of non-indie games.

I absolutely hate 2D platformers with a burning passion hotter then unholy hell fire!! Why? Because I find there boring I don't hate them soley because there 2D no I love a lot of 2D games like earthbound and earthbound oh did I mention earthbound?. Now I've played other indie games that were 3D and waiting for no man's sky with open arms!

Wait... so you've never enjoyed any of the classic 2D Mario games (often considered to be perfect games anyone could enjoy) or Contra, or Zelda, etc... or almost any game made before ~1995? (besides Earthbound)
:P

I have to disagree with you there. Limbo and Machinarium are wonderful games.

No, having a single gimmick as your gameplay and a "unique" art style does not make your game any less crap.

Some of my favorite games are Indie. I tried a good horror one called DreadOut, but only the demo.

The game is good. Has a very interesting story based on the Hindu mythology IIRC.

Hit or miss. Exactly the same as the so called "AAA" games.

Don't need 150 milions $ budget for a game to be fun.

I have the full game and it is awesome, though buggy.

Exactly! Some Indie Games are good. Others, not so much. Still others are downright horrible.

What the term "Indie" places in my mind is "Not much money with overworked developers." Sometimes it works, other time it doesn't.
